How to add photos to your travel animation
Adding photos to your animated travel map turns it into a real story. When the vehicle arrives at a stop with photos, the animation automatically pauses for 2 seconds and plays a fullscreen slideshow — no manual timing required.
Select the stop
In the sidebar, expand the stop you want to illustrate. Click "Add photos" to open the file picker. You can also drag and drop photos directly from your desktop onto the stop card.
How many photos per stop?
Each stop can hold up to 4 photos. With 4 photos, the slideshow lasts about 4 × 0.5s = 2 seconds. Fewer photos make the pause feel shorter; this lets you balance pacing across a long animation.
Captions
Tap a photo thumbnail to set a short caption — typically the location, the date or a sentence. Captions are overlaid on the photo during the slideshow.
Reorder and remove
Drag thumbnails inside the stop to change the slideshow order. Click the cross icon on a thumbnail to remove a photo. Removed photos are gone from the browser cache too.
Privacy
Your photos never leave your browser. They are not uploaded to any server — even the final MP4 is rendered locally. See the dedicated guide on how photos are processed for the full details.
